first try...

yay. went canoeing kayaking (to be exact) yesterday!
was feeling apprehensive and excited as i was about to get into the water.
afterall, it was my very very first try...
i did not even know what i am supposed to do.. as in, nobody gave me any instructions as to how i'm supposed to paddle and what i should do when the kayak capsized...
anyway, things went well. had fun paddling for TWO hours! yea, was damn tiring... i thought my arms almost broke! haha and i was the slowest!!!

and now my arms are aching!!!!!

it feels good being in an open sea, with the waves pushing against you, while you struggle to paddle forward all by yourself, without any help, and with only a lifevest to keep you afloat.

halfway through, stupid liqi overturned all our kayaks.
i took a really long time to get up again.
as i was floating in sea, i had this amazing feeling.
a feeling that i haven't had for a long time...

putting the dirtiness and danger lurking in the seawater, big ships ahead, the scorching sun, and the darkness when night falls aside, i felt a sense of emancipation from all things ashore. school, money, mother's nagging, worries and sadness, bye. nah, my life ain't that sad, lah. but it was just a moment feel of unrestriction when i was floating in the water. i do not even have to struggle to keep myself afloat! with the help of the lifevest, i could float on my back effortlessly. it feels nice to be in the big blue sea, floating and floating, how nice it would be if i could continue to float aimlessly in the sea... NO! actually i don't think i want my skin to become very wrinkled and salty. but well, the point is, i felt relaxed and unconstrained.

yep. the feeling is good.
i would love to kayak again!!!
but i need someone to carry the kayak for me!!!

chloeeeeee!!!! i can't wait to get to bintan!!! i wanna jump into the sea and be carried away by the waves!!! back to singapore? lol...

btw, do you people know the basic courtesy of introducing a friend to your other friends?!??!?!
(ermm, is this a basic courtesy?? haha whatever...)

anyway, stupid liqi brought his friend along yesterday, and he didn't even bother to make an introduction to us. not that i want to know his friend, but since we were gonna kayak together, shouldn't he just introduce his friend so that he wouldn't feel awkward??? okay, i'm not sure if his friend was awkward, but i sure hate being in his shoe.

when my friend XYZ meets my friend ABC for the first time, i introduce them to each other, and try to ensure that they wouldn't be awkward in each other's company. i introduced chloe to shann, and karwai to chloe, and you people have become good friends yea! ooh, but well, the three of you are nice easy-going people, so even without my intro, you guys would hit it off well too... anyway, with a proper introduction, it would eliminate any awkwardness that exist. unlike in sch, where you gotta introduce yourself and try to start a conversation by your own. get what i mean???? introduction means alot!!! ... maybe to me only...

Scenario 1: on the train, in the streets, at the traffic signal waiting for the green man, ......
@ anywhere, as long as you stop and talk for at least 5 mins...

- You're with friend A and you meet friend B along the way

You: Hi! BBB, how ya doing??
friend B: ooOh hi! blah blah blah...
*friend A standing stupidly at the side...
wait...
wait...
wait...*

You: oh ya, i'm with my friend, AAA. hey AAA, this's BBB.
*and friend B joins in the conversation...*

*************************************

Scenario 2: meeting friend C and friends D, E, F to go kayaking together

You: Hey pple! this's my friend CCC. she's joining us today! gotta talk to her okiez? Hey CCC, this's DDD, that's EEE and FFF.
*everyone says hello and goes kayaking happily together...*

*************************************

okay okay, lame examples... but get what i mean???
if you introduce a friend to the others properly, you spare your friend the embarrassement of going around, introducing him/herself like a pathetic fool.

i'm always caught in this kinda situation, and i hate it! dear friends who are reading this, learn the basic courtesy of introducing your friend to your other friends, and not just leave your friend aside waiting like a fool.
