shopping in JB

oOooOOoOo... went shopping in JB yesterday with my sis and her friends...

OH, i mean MY friends.... kumeri and may lai! hohoho...

anyway, the stuff there are cheeeeeeeeeap! especially the food! yummy...
had lunch @ secret recipe. i finally get to eat my chicken cordon bleu!! not that bad, but not cheesy enough... and it came last... but it's only 13.50 rm!!!! how cheap can that get??? we ate soooooo much, and each of us only paid less than 10 sgd!!!

Our 2nd piece of cake. the royal chocolate cake or something... had a cheese choc cake before this... goshhh all so yummy! and only 5.30 rm for a slice!!! darn! should have bought one whole cake home! haha...

yami yogurt's cheap. aunt anne's cheap. genki sushi's cheap. so many cheap food! can't wait to go for another eating spree in JB!!! eat, eat and eat! i'm always hungry.....

smelly feet

sometimes when you really try so hard to love your life, when you constantly hypnotize yourself and try to believe that you really love your life, bad things have to happen and dash all the hopes and dreams that you have held on to.

it simply sums up to only THREE words: LIFE IS UNFAIR

WHY do i have to work so hard to get the things i want, while others get it without even lifting a finger?
WHY must i still have hopes and dreams, when in the end, i would never get what i want?
WHY must i continue to work so hard and try to be happy, even when things seldom turn out the way i want it to?
WHY am i always feeling depressed, while i do see many happy souls out there?

and WHY do i have sweaty palms and feet????????????
i think the sweat makes my feet stink... damnit!
i can't do the trapeze 'coz my hands can't even hold on tight to the bar.
i can't wear heels 'coz my feet would slip and i'll die.
i have to look around for a hundred years before i could find a suitable pair of shoes.
i can't finish my exams without wetting the paper....
i hate my sweaty palms and feet! they are disgusting and smelly!


i can whine, i can swear, i can curse, i can cry, i can grumble, and i can even roar...
but the sun still rises and sets, and the earth still revolves. roses still bloom and wither. the dogs still bark and the cats still meow. pretty clothes are still around, and my sis still eats and sleeps and shops and reads my blog...

everything continues as it is, so why succumb to having an ill-fated life just because things do not go well for you??? i believe that everything happens for a reason, and usually for a good purpose, 'coz God is supposed to be good, right? you might be borned with a silver spoon, and have all the material needs in the world, but you might also be missing out on the simple pleasures of life, and not get to experience the little joy of getting something by your own effort... ahhh, what crap? what am i talking about?

okok, my point is, life's unfair and that's what you should learn to live with.

you can be sad and depressed, but you can't do that for long. time flies. there are still many things that await you, and surprises could be along the way. you have to, and can only depend on yourself if you want to be happy again. if you can't get what you want, maybe you should be satisfied with what you have now, and learn to accept it.

to be happy or not, you choose it.

once again, WHY DO BAD THINGS ALWAYS HAPPEN TO GOOD PEOPLE????

so if bad things do happen to you, you are a good person.

yeah! i lurveeeeee my new hairdo! just went for a partial straightening and hair cut @ Ji Won on friday... and i highly recommend it!!! two thumbs up! it's located on the third level at wheelock place. straightened my bangs and the top only. see the difference?? it's kinda flatter after the straightening... urghz.. why do i have such thick hair????

hmmmm what's the difference between a cheap six bucks hair salon and a sixty bucks one? i used to think it's ridiculous to pay soooooo much for a haircut, afterall, as long as the hairstylist has experience, that should be enough, yea? but after experimenting with a few hair salons, i have to agree that there IS a difference. so don't look down on david gan for being so sissy and uneducated... btw, is he the one who charges hundreds for a haircut??

it's been a long time since i'm able to keep my hair short... when i used to go to this cheap hair salon, the person refused to let me cut it short, saying 'coz i've wavy hair, and cutting short will make my hair look even thicker....... oh yea, that's 'coz she doesn't know the techniques to cutting a good hairdo out of a thick wavy hair. boooooooooooooooooooooo...
okay... my hair's very hard to manage too, so i feel alot more secure leaving my hair in the hands of a professional senior stylist. oOOooO... and i got student price tooo!!! =)

gosh. was looking at my very very first blog entry, and i can't help feelin' ashamed. so much about this blog being the place for evil jia to "emerge from my within and blabs on and on about all the unhappiness i feel in my subconscious..." yeah, right. my foot. since when has evil jia showed herself in these two months...... the last time was the gambling thingy??? and that was ages ago...

so, evil jia did not succeed in her endeavour in becoming the queen in the world of blogs, and many evil thoughts have not yet been revealed... FAILURE!!

was @ Tangs earlier this afternoon, and they have this whole section on jewellery. I have been looking for a pretty bracelet for a long time, so i was really glad when mummy told my sis and i to go ahead and get a charm bracelet ('coz she wanted the ring!!! and of course, she paid for the bracelet too...).



ooOoOOoo... is it preeeeetty??? i love the heart-shaped key and padlock most.

each charm costs $5.90, and there are many different designs.
you can even choose the charms and make them into a necklace...
should i get a necklace too????? opps...

after i parted with chloeeee yesterday at dhoby ghaut, i decided to take a stroll down to cityhall... Along my way, i passed SAM -- Singapore Arts Museum. It says free admission on fridays 6 - 9pm, but it looks so quiet that i only lingered at the oustide. Took some pics though, i love the design of the 19th-century old St. Joseph's Institution building, which also has a subtle modern touch to it. It brings on a sense of nostalgia, and reminds me of the singapore studies module about changing landscapes of singapore which i took in the previous sem. SAM was gazetted as a national monument in 1987.





i continued to walk to suntec from cityhall...
