皆―さん、しばらくだね。試験があるから、大変ね。私の最後の試験は日本語だよ。日本語は私のとても好きなmoduleから、今はちょっと大変じゃないよ。試験が終わってから、いろいろなことをしたいね。例、泳ぐことや旅行や友達に会うことなど。お休みは３ヶ月ぐらいね。何をする？何をする？！？！

hi everyone! it's been so long.. (haha, it's only five days!!!) i'm having my exams, so it's tough yea. my last paper is japanese language. japanese lang is my favourite module, so now i can kinda relax. after my exams finish, i wanna do various kind of things... eg. swimming, go on tour, meeting friends, etc... my holidays'd be THREE months! what should i do? what should i do?!?!


**hahaha. i'm practising my jap again... there're so many things i wanna say, but still have no idea how to express them in jap. geez... but you guys can't spot my mistakes anyway. hohoho. alrighty... i'll continue to learn jap next sem and improve on my sentence structures... anybody wanna learn from me????? hehhhh...

i'm back!

sighhhh.... DEAR FRIENDS and ONE COUZ and ONE KAR, i've survived (*phew*), and am finally back from the miserableness of being placed on a guillotine.

morning paper sux big time. gotta sleep early the night before and wake up early in the morning at 0630, take an early bus and pray hard for a seat and a smooth traffic, and lastly, to reach the exam venue in time. yes, i was very punctual. reached MPSH 1 at exactly 0900.

anyhow, i've got nothing to say about the sociology paper, except that i was able to do it. however, i'm sure everyone knows this, illusions and reality are totally opposite of each other. so i shall juz pray and pray and pray, and hopefully my prayers would be answered, and i'll get an A for sociology. **FYI: i got a freakin' C+ for my mid-term paper.** booOOoOooOOo...

NUS Arts and Social Science

Hey how's school?

oh yeah~~~ today's the LAST DAY of semester II before exams start!! i went to school today only for my jap oral, which is like, FIVE minutes only!! well, oral was fine, though i think i made a few errors, like misunderstanding my sen-sei's questions... oh boooo... but overall, i think i'm good at japanese! hahaha.. ok, so it's end of the sem, and start of my study-break. only 8 days left to my first paper, and i haven't touched it at all!! gosh.. alright, so shijia-san, ganbatte kudasai!!!

oh well, so i've survived spending a year in NUS!! woohoowoo~ three cheers for me, please... ok, now, i'm gonna give a review of my freshie year in NUS...

sad to say, i'm not one of those active students who live in the hostels, join the student union, and have a cca. neither am i one of those enthusiastic students who go to school everyday, hang around with friends at the Deck, and make lotsa noise. therefore, my freshie year in NUS was rather dull. sobz.. right! i'm one those people you can see going from lecture to lecture, tutorial to tutorial alone. it's kinda good in a way, coz there's no one to distract me during lectures, and i don't have to wait for anyone to pack up at the end of lecture. i hate waiting. and usually, i'm one of the first few who leave the lecture theatre first.

i did not want to be a loner intentionally. but com'on, do i really have a choice? look, the thing is, i have no friends in NUS (okay, before going to NUS, that is). no friends? okay, no close friends in NUS. saw a couple of people from my sec sch, and also jc, and even from iras! but nope, i ain't close to them... hmmmm most of my closer friends are either in NTU, SMU, pte uni or idle (oppss sorry..).

i went for the orientation camp with this gal from iras, but actually, i wasn't close to her at all. no common interests, no common topics to talk about. then i had to go for medical check-up and matriculation alone. which was quite a sad thing, coz most people were with friends, and i had to walk and sit around alone. i used to have a map of NUS with me, in case i got lost. but actually, with those direction signs around, only an idiot would get lost. first two weeks of school were fine, coz there were only lectures. oh and dear mr kar accompanied me to school on the 2nd day for my jap lect. that was really sweet of him yea? and coming all the way to NUS and waiting for me after school on thurs was very sweet too! i really really appreciate it, mr kar!! when tutorials started, i kinda dreaded it. sighh imagine.. gotta go to not one, but many tutorials and meet new people. all kinds of people. oh hack, look at the BIG picture.. at least i've already gotten used to going to new classes, and self-introducing again and again.. i'm also used to walking around alone in school, and even eating alone over at the Deck. i AM quite proud of myself, really. how many people can actually do things alone??? hehe, i know shan can't. and my sis's friend even called me God. LOL.. *smirks proudly*

so, after getting used to being alone and meeting new people, life wasn't that bad.. BUT when tutorials started, that was when i almost died!! the modules i took in sem I sucked BIG TIME!!! **WARNING!! IF YOU HATE READING, AND I MEAN, READ A DAMN LOT, THEN NEVER EVER TAKE THIS MODULE ON GEISHA, SAMURAI, AND YAKUZA, AND SOUTH-ASIAN EXPOSURE MODULE!! IN FACT, IF YOU ABSOLUTELY HATE READING, DON'T COME TO ARTS!!!** haha, better still, don't study!! spent a hell lot of $$ zapping the reading materials for that module, and i spent a hell lot of time in the library coz of that, coz gotta queue to borrow the book. that was really sucky. eewwww, the thought of how i suffered during sem I is disgusting!!

sem I ended, my results weren't too bad, and sem II started. the modules i took this sem aren't that bad. micro and macro economics. econ modules are the slackiest ever modules! no projects, no presentations. purely tutorial assignments and slacking. that's it. but kinda complicating, actually. so gotta read alot on your own. and of coz, i took jap again this sem! i wanna speak fluent jap and live in Japan happily ever after. geeZ. yesh, i'm dreamin'...... i also took sociology exposure module.. shouldn't sociology be a very interesting subject??? but my tutor is this old man, and he's damn damn slack! now, should i do a double major on sociology and economics??? a single major would be too common, i think. give me some advice, pple!

basically, i can sum up my sem II in juz ONE word. SLACK.

hmmm.. on the other hand, that's not good either. i need some stress to work!! to motivate me!!

alright. that's the end of my freshie year review. shan and chloeeeeee... hope the two of you come join me at NUS soooooooon!!! i need to go study now!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH~

This Thursday is my Japanese Oral Interview. Therefore, I need to start to prepare from now. I’ve been studying Japanese at NUS for around 7 months, but my Japanese has not become good yet. I think learning Japanese is interesting, but it is a bit difficult. My teachers are friendly, and the lessons are interesting. In 2 weeks’ time, I’m having my exams. On next Friday, my Sociology exam will start. So, I must work hard, and after my exams have finished, I will meet my friends, and have fun together! and WOW!! so cooooool.... though i'm not exactly an outback person, i think it's definitely worth a try. along the way, they saw ostriches, elephants, cows, and giraffes!!! and they were like, everywhere, crossing the roads, travelling in herds. really cool man. and the giraffes are soooooo tall and sturdy!! wooohoooo... so, this is when i get emotional. imagine being out there, with these animals so close to you. don't you think this is the most natural setting???

anyway, i was damn bored, and i didn't feel like going home...
reached town ard 4pm.. (in case you wonder how i got there so fast, since my lessons should end at 4, look at the date, it's TUESDAY!!! i also get to leave early!!! ok, i left even before the whole lecture ended... oppsss...) I made my way to the hello kitty palace at Orchard Point (or is it Orchard Emerald????) in search for a hello kitty iron-on. did find one, but it ain't cute enough. anyway, i bought a NEW hello kitty paperclip!!! yep, to replace the broken one (someone sat on it, and thought i didn't know!!!! evil...). and i saw this pretty hello kitty coin pouch, which is the kind i've been looking for!!! so kar, will you buy for meeeeeeeee?????? heeeeee.. then i took my own sweeeet time to walk down to Taka. on the way, i couldn't resist the temptation, and ate a Squidhead from Old Chang Kee, my all time fav. yummy...

i went to kinokuniya.... and bought another Japanese magazine!!! woohoowoo~ but.... kinda disappointed... this mag is on women's lifestyle, Brand Joy. As the name suggests, it's all about branded stuffs.. bags, watches, earrings, rings... so you see, for a poor lady like me, how am i able to afford all those stuff??? maybe chloe you wanna borrow??? the mag features lotsa LV bags... not bad... buy one for me :) after which, i went to the sanrio in taka (yes, hello kitty AGAIN...) but didn't buy anything... and i looked at socks too! Chloe, think they have the kinda black stockings you want... and they also have socks that cover the front part of the feet only!!! i want i want! since my cute little mango shoes only cover the toes...

yea, yea.... shopped around somemore... zara, guess, forever21, mango, phuture, blah blah blah. i'm a super shopper! ...and i went to the isetan jap supermarket!!!! bought men's pocky!! i'm been craving for it the whole week... it was raining when i was about to leave... so i had no choice but to stay around and shop shop shop. went to the anna sui counter... WOW... the blushers and eyeshadows look so delicious! should i buy should i buy??? my sis told me that wan'er has the whole set of anna sui! yes, the mirror, the jewellery box, the perfume, the cosmetics, and the discount card!!!!! so envious.... what a rich ger indeed, yea.

if only i had a million dollars... HOW WOULD I SPEND IT???

Reached chompz at 9o'clock last night, and david, daryl, cheow kiat, yee suan and her boyfriend were already there.. i was talking to yee suan when suddenly, i heard a familiar voice from behind, "Hieeeeeeeee!" i looked behind, and yep, it's joanna~ then it was as if we were long time friends again, and we started talking like the past yr did not exist... it was only after we settled down then i realized i haven't spoken to her for a yr! haha it is still kinda weird to think about it now. but i suppose, it's better than talking about what went wrong a yr ago, yea... geeZ actually kinda miss her tooo... so i'm glad things turn out right~ (and shan... yep, she did ask about u too...)

yep, soon we got seats~ (yes! for everyone!!) and we ate sambal sotong, stingray, satay, chicken wings (!!!! i ate 4!!! opps..), and drank sugarcane juice! actually that's not alot yea... but seriously, i think market 85 is a much better place! (Mr Lee and chloeeee... let's hit mkt 85 soon again...)
