i'm still blogging about my birthday...

haa. i really think i'm blessed with good luck.
was supposed to go swimming with mr kar around noon today, but i woke up feelin' very lazy and i prayed and hoped that it'd rain ('coz the sun was hot and high up in the skies in the morning). so i cancelled the swimming date with mr kar and came online. and ahHa! it's really raining now! thank goodness i wasn't in the mood to swim, if not i'd be damn disappointed.. and thank goodness i was feelin' lazy, if not i'd be stuck outside by the pool, in the heavy rain! phew...


alrighty, so here i am, gonna blog about my birthday still.

mr kar brought his chocolate fondue set over! and we waited for ages for the chocolate to melt... but it was still fun! strawberry dipped in chocolate.. wOOoOooo...




there were two big bowls of strawberries and green apples, how on earth are we able to finish everything?!?!
and so, we covered the remaining strawberries with chocolate, and kept them in the refrigerator, so that i can still eat them at night! hahaa..



oh, kar said strawberries look like human noses, infested with lotsa blackheads.. YUCKS!!
very gross, mr kar.. and you ate lotsa them!!

okay, i really liked the skirt that i wore, and i was perfectly happy with my top too... i was expecting to dine in a high-class restaurant, enjoying the food in a romantic ambience... and i did not mind paying alot. 'coz i'm the birthday girl!! and it was my day! but.... alright, i was the one who chose the restaurant, so there's no one to blame. the food were great too, actually. BUT!!! it was totally unGlam...

and the next day, July 28, i had a birthday treat from Yenny, @ Sushi Tei.



that's actually my first time there. and i dare say, it's so much better than Sakae and Genki!!!! i've always thought there Sushi Tei'd be kinda expensive.. but NOT AT ALL! reasonable pricing, and nice food as well.

i like the bowl! haa. and it's only for six or eight bucks, i think.

it's always nice to meet up with old friends, yea.
it feels great to know that the strong friendship bond is still there even if you don't meet up often..

and yenny's amazing!! knowing her way around sg even though she's not a sg'rean!! haa. and she helped me to find my way around Marina Sq (after it's renovation). i will not get lost anymore! dear kar, don't worry. i will not bring you the wrong way and walk in big circles ever again.. Just follow me..



Yen brought me to the foodcourt, where the desserts are niceeeeeeee!
and they have Samy's Curry there too. haa. i wonder if it's nice.

i won forty bucks from mahjong, and i'm gonna get some cash from my sis.. for my birthday, and 'coz she got her pay! yipeeeeeeeee! know what that means???? i'm able to get the zara bag that i'm eyeing without having to consider so much!!! anybody seen the zara bag??? i love it! =)

oh yea. and i've finished bidding for my modules. got all of them without much hassle. and though i'd be having a four-day week, at least i have shorter days now. oh, except for tues.

i'm the birthday gal, okay!

damn! i missed more than half of ET just now!!! boooooooooo... But it was still nice to catch the last part. the ending was so touching, especially the scene whereby they cycled up into the sky, towards the moon.. oooOOoOoo... i did that before too!!! haa i ain't crazy, i'm telling the truth!! i did it at the ET ride in Universal Studio, Japan.. cool, yea???


anyway, i'm so happy!! i feel soooooooooooo special. birthday pressies come 'pouring in' (okay, not that many...) even before my actual birthday. and look at my tagboard, even busy chloeeee got me my pressie already!!!! =) I got a beautiful necklace from Celene (the very first pressie i received this year!!), facial products (oOOoO.. from Biotherm!!!) from mr kar, and bodycare products (i got a body lotion and body spray!! ) from Shannn!! haa.. i'm gonna have less oily face and glowing skin!!! (oOppss.. i realise i've been making a big deal outta my birthday.. look at the entries below... but i'm sure everyone loves birthdays yea?? ) gee.. thanks to all my great friends and one mr kar for making me feel special! lol. and mr kar just wished me an early happy birthday a min ago, like he can feel that i'm blogging about my birthday right now.


oh ya. gotta bid tmr!! noNo, i'm not shopping on ebay again... gotta bid for my Modules tmr.. (haa. that was lame..) i've got my tues planned for taking biz modules (i'm minoring in biz, rem??) withhh... SHANNN!!! financial accounting and marketing. HEY chloeeee and karrrrr and janice!!! you three are experts in these areas already, right?!?!? i'm gonna join in too, and we can all talk about accounting and marketing... hahaha.
oh no, but this sem, i ain't gonna get a THREE-DAY week anymore. 'coz i can't fix all the modules i wanna take into three days... that means i gotta travel all the way down to school for four days!! how sad!!!!! on the other hand, i got shorter days.. 4hours the least. and should i plan my timetable such that it starts at 2pm and ends at 6pm? or maybe 4pm to 8pm?? i've always felt that it's a very sad thing to stay in sch till the sky turns dark, but i'm a masochist.. so that means even though i don't like it, i still wanna experience it.

Humble House is actually a restaurant @ the Esplanade. cool name yea. but... the food aren't humble at all. 90 plus dollars per person. oh no, i made a very disgusting calculation error. it was 80+ per person. What do you think????

Mum's treat. She wanted to invite my grandma, godma and godpa for lunch to celebrate my sis's graduation, and my birthday!!!

and i realised i did not mention much about the food. oh well, just let me go on and talk about food, food, and more food! we had gong bao prawns and wasabi prawns, a giant tofu with smashed spinach on top, the normal kinda veg with big mushrooms (but i hate tat kinda mushrooms!), peking duck skin and a separate dish of the tender duck meat cooked with spring onions, the noodles with a huge prawn as seen in the pics below, and desserts! yummy...

the prawns were greeeeeeeeeeeeeat! i love prawns! and i love eating prawns with kar, shann and chloeeeee... 'coz kar shells the prawns for me, and shann and chloeeee let me eat theirs! hahaha. the peking duck skin weren't too oily, and the duck meat were really gooooooooood! hmmmm and the tofu? i think it's the most expensive tofu i've ever eaten... yea, that's about it. i'm done...

oOOoOOoo... the ambience was GOOD!! and they have funny cool looking chairs around!

oh yea. and i've solved the mystery of my 70-characters-only sms. the 70 does not refer to ONE sms. it's for... i don't really know what. anyway, i can go on typing my sms, and if it exceeds one sms, the phone will prompt me when i try to send the sms out, asking me if i wanna send the sms in two parts. yea.. so it's still kinda troublesome, 'coz i gotta figure out where i should stop, otherwise i gotta edit edit edit...

and i've changed my mobile plan to Free incoming, 150 min outgoing and 500 sms! sooooooo... JUST CALL ME!!!!
