Almost the end of the fourth week of my internship already.
Tmr's finally friday.
All these make me realise how much I love my weekends, and how bloody short weekends are.
Another six to seven weeks to go...
Which also means, another seven weeks to my birthday!!!
I hope I can end my internship the week before my birthday...
Nobody is supposed to work on his/her birthday.
Anyway, had been so busy last week to even blog during office hours... Just completed part I of a project, helped out in organising a briefing, and saw how aggressive the employee union's chairman can be. Btw, did I mention that I'm with the Human Resources Department, Training and Development Division? laughs. Absolutely nothing to do with economics. But heck, arts is a general degree afterall.
When people ask me what do I do at work, I've not idea how to explain. I'm with HR. Handling employees stuff... duh` Not exactly doing the important and challenging stuff, but I was given the entire lower divisions (III & IV, lower ranking technicians and those with lower education) employees' record to manage their profile. Then I had to look through a thousand over CVs, identify their highest qualifications (because the system used to manage this earlier sucks), and decide which educational path they should belong to for upgrading. I was also supposed to research on overseas universities for the scholarship programmes and their rankings + accreditations. So, if you intend to go overseas for Post-graduate programmes in Civil & Environmental Engineering, and need help in deciding which are the better universities, you can always look for me. Right now, I'm done with the practical attachments stuff from local institutions. Next, I'm supposed to come up with a handbook for the staff... A handbook for all the basic details of the organisation, their pays, benefits, general information on all the departments... blahblahblah.
okay. So stop asking me what's my jobscope!
I DO EVERYTHING!
And I'm sucha cheap labour! boohoohoo...
Tmr's the start of the World Cup.
I know so many idiots out there are so excited over it.
I only hope for a steamboat tmr night. geez
